Topics of Interest

Topics must be of interest to summit delegates and be related to this year’s theme:
“Innovative Solutions for Rural and Remote Cancer Control Issues: Today and Tomorrow”.

Our working definition of Northern and Rural Communities encompasses: northern, rural, remote and aboriginal communities. Rural and northern comprises all territory outside of major urban centres, constituting 95% of Canada’s land mass.

A variety of topics across the cancer control continuum (cancer prevention, surveillance, screening/early detection, treatment, rehabilitation, supportive care, and palliation) will be considered including enabling solutions such as information technology, telemedicine, monitoring, research, and evaluation, and integration with other programs such as primary health care and aboriginal health.

Please review the list of summit themes and topics broken down into respective subtopics and points of interest.
