Dr Ogborn graduated in medicine from the University of Adelaide and then completed specialty training in Pediatrics at Flinders Medical Centre in South Australia and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in association with the University of Western Australia.

Anne McCulloch is the promotion and education specialist for the BC Cancer Agency’s Cervical Cancer Screening Program. Before joining the agency, she completed a Master’s degree in Communication at Simon Fraser University.

Cynthia has worked in nursing for over 30 years, with a specialty in community health/public health for 18 years. For the past 5 years she has been the manager for the Southside Health and Wellness Centre, located south of Burns Lake.
Presenter - Dr. Sangita Sharma

Title: Community based and community driven nutrition and physical activity intervention programs for prevention of chronic disease and to improve dietary adequacy for the Inuit, Inuvialuit and First Nations
Dr. Sharma is a gifted researcher and scholar. She is an expert in the relationship between nutrition, ethnicity, and disease, focusing on why different ethnic groups have different risk factors and rates of chronic disease.
Presenter - Dr. David McLean
MD, FRCPC Head, Cancer Prevention Programs
Title: A Grass Roots Approach to Cancer Prevention
He is a Professor in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of British Columbia. In addition to many peer reviewed papers, he is co-author of 2 recent books – The Health Impact of Smoking and Obesity and What To Do About It, U of T Press 2007; and The Prevention of Second Primary Cancers, Karger 2008.

Dr. Gunn is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (M.D. 1981). He is Co-Founder and CEO of InspireHealth, an integrated cancer care centre in Vancouver, Canada, which has become a national model for integrated cancer care.
Dr. Gunn has a clinical appointment with the UBC School of Medicine, teaches at the Boucher Institute for Naturopathic Medicine, and leads InspireHealth’s Research Department.

Vincent Joseph offers more than a decade of leadership and guidance since he became Health Director to the Tl’azt’en Nation in the year 1993. He established a strong connection to the Traditional and Cultural ways of life and is fluent in his carrier language.

Raye Stensgaard is an energetic Tsimshian woman from the Laskigg (eagle) Clan. As a recent graduate, she was offered her dream position of working as a Licensed Practical Nurse in an aboriginal community. Her positions have included Community Health Nurse and she is currently working as the Home and Community Care Nurse for the Tl`azt`en people.
