Cheryl is originally from Southern Ontario and moved to BC in 1998 to complete a Master’s of Science in Pathology with a focus in prostate cancer research. Cheryl held interests in both health care and genetics and went on to receive a Master’s of Science in Genetic Counselling from the University of British Columbia.

Sandra Broughton is the Regional Administrator with the BC Cancer Agency - Centre for the Southern Interior She holds a Masters of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Economics degree from Simon Fraser University. She has worked for the BC Cancer Agency for the past 17 years.
Presenter - Dr. Scott Tyldesley
MD, Radiation Oncologist, Clinical Assistant Professor Radiation Oncology, UBC
Title: Modelling Access and Capacity in the BC Cancer System
Dr. Tyldesley is a Radiation Oncologist practicing at the BC Cancer Agency and Clinical Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology at UBC. He also holds a MPA in Health Policy from Queens University. His areas of expertise include radiation oncology (genitourinary, breast); health policy and health services research and radiation oncology needs assessment.
Presenter - Mitch Verde

Title: Palliative Care Capacity Building in Rural Northwestern BC First Nations
Mitch Verde is a member of the House of Duuk in the Gitwilnagil’ Clan, one of many clans within the Nisga’a Nation. Many moons ago, Mitch began taking college courses in Prince George and five years later he became the first person of First Nation ancestry to receive a degree from the University of Northern British Columbia.
